GIVEAWAY: This Is Not a Test by Courtney Summers

Hi fabulous people!

As promised, today I have a giveaway for you guys! Thanks to the awesome Kelly from Stacked, I'm offering up TWO copies of THIS IS NOT A TEST (December's Read-Along Pick)! ONE is open to participants AND non-participants (although, if you win and want to participate that's awesome as well)! ONE is open to Read-Along participants ONLY. The giveaway will last about two weeks, ending on November 15th!

THIS IS NOT A TEST is, quite possibly, my favorite book in this world favorite (and has one of my favorite covers). Which, is saying a lot. It is not your typical zombie book, but a heart-breaking, truthful story about what it's like to live. If you want to hear more of my thoughts, check out my review here.

It’s the end of the world. Six students have taken cover in Cortege High but shelter is little comfort when the dead outside won’t stop pounding on the doors. One bite is all it takes to kill a person and bring them back as a monstrous version of their former self. To Sloane Price, that doesn’t sound so bad. Six months ago, her world collapsed and since then, she’s failed to find a reason to keep going. Now seems like the perfect time to give up. As Sloane eagerly waits for the barricades to fall, she’s forced to witness the apocalypse through the eyes of five people who actually want to live. But as the days crawl by, the motivations for survival change in startling ways and soon the group’s fate is determined less and less by what’s happening outside and more and more by the unpredictable and violent bids for life—and death—inside. When everything is gone, what do you hold on to?

QUICK GIVEAWAY: Fall for Anything by Courtney Summers

Hi, peeps!

Today I have an awesome giveaway for you guys! We are really close to finishing up month two of the Courtney Summers Read-Along. Crazy, right? Next month, we're going to be reading FALL FOR ANYTHING and thanks to the wonderful team at St. Martin's Press, I have two copies to giveaway today! ONE is open to participants AND non-participants! ONE is open to Read-Along participants ONLY. It's only open until the end of the weekend, so be sure to enter quickly!

FALL FOR ANYTHING is one of those books that completely rocked me to the core. I'll get into more detail during the month but it is, honestly, one of the most beautiful and stunning books I've ever read. I've never had such a physical reaction to a book but I honestly couldn't move, could barely breathe after I finished it. This is not a book to be missed!

From the author of Cracked Up to Be and Some Girls Are comes a gripping story about one girl’s search for clues into the mysterious death of her father.

When Eddie Reeves’s father commits suicide her life is consumed by the nagging question of why? Why when he was a legendary photographer and a brilliant teacher? Why when he seemed to find inspiration in everything he saw? And, most important, why when he had a daughter who loved him more than anyone else in the world? When she meets Culler Evans, a former student of her father’s and a photographer himself, an instant and dangerous attraction begins. Culler seems to know more about her father than she does and could possibly hold the key to the mystery surrounding his death. But Eddie’s vulnerability has weakened her and Culler Evans is getting too close. Her need for the truth keeps her hanging on...but are some questions better left unanswered?

Giveaway Rules (FIRST Rafflecopter Giveaway):

WHAT GOES AROUND is here!

Hi, Read-Alongers!

Tuesday was the release of What Goes Around by Courtney Summers! What Goes Around is the bind-up of Courtney Summers' two novels Cracked Up to Be and Some Girls Are. Here's a description!

Courtney Summers fans are in for a treat! Two of her most critically acclaimed titles bound together for the price of one. In Cracked Up To Be, Perfect Parker Fadley isn’t so perfect anymore. She’s quit the cheerleading squad, she’s dumped her perfect boyfriend, and she’s failing school. Her parents are on a constant suicide watch and her counselors think she’s playing games…but what they don’t know, the real reason for this whole mess, is that a horrible thing has happened and it just might be her fault. In Some Girls Are, climbing to the top of the social ladder is hard--falling from it is even harder. Regina Afton used to be a member of the Fearsome Fivesome. And just like the other members of this all girl clique, she was both feared and revered by the students of Hallowell High... that is until vicious rumors about her and her best friend's boyfriend start going around. (Summary from Goodreads)

I think it's a fantastic idea to re-release these two books so that more people can enjoy them! And it is perfect timing, my dear read-alongers, because now you can get the first two books for the read-along for the price of one! What's not to love? I, personally, am really excited to have this pretty bind-up on my shelf next to all my other Courtney Summers' books.

In honor of the release (and thanks to the awesome people from St. Martin's Press), I'm offering up FIVE COPIES of What Goes Around!

Giveaway Rules:
- Must be 13 years or older
- Open to US/CANADA ONLY (sorry, international folks!)
- We are not responsible for lost or damaged items
- Enter the Rafflecopter form to enter
- You do not HAVE to be a part of the Read-Along but it's greatly appreciated if you are! (*hugs to Read-Alongers!*)

I want to say a huge THANK YOU to Sarah from St. Martin's Press for providing the copies and for being such a huge supporter of the read-along!

Review + GIVEAWAY: Crimson Frost by Jennifer Estep

Title: Crimson Frost (Mythos Academy #4)
Author: Jennifer Estep
Publisher: Kensington Teen
Release Date: December 24th, 2012
Source: ARC Recieved from author for an honest review

My Rating: 5/5

**WARNING: This summary contains spoilers for previous Mythos books! (My review, though, is SPOILER FREE)**

For a moment, a face flashed before my eyes—the most hideous face I’d ever seen. No matter how hard I tried to forget what had happened, I saw him everywhere I went. It was Loki—the evil god that I’d helped set free against my will.

I should have known that my first official date with Logan Quinn was destined to end in disaster. If we’d gotten into a swordfight, or been ambushed by Reapers, I’d have been more prepared. But getting arrested mid-sip at the local coffee hangout? I didn’t see that one coming.

I’ve been accused of purposely helping the Reapers free Loki from his prison—and the person leading the charge against me is Linus Quinn, Logan’s dad. The worst part is that pretty much everyone at Mythos Academy thinks I’m guilty. If I’m going to get out of this mess alive, I’ll have to do it myself…

I don't think my heart has entirely recovered from what I put it through reading this book. I don't even know if I can properly express how much I loved Crimson Frost. It was exactly the book I wanted to read and so so much more. Can I say it was perfect? Cause it just might be. It was just purely and simply fan-freakin-tastic.

Let me just say this up front: Gwen Frost, please be my best friend. She is spunky, fierce and sometimes a bit on the overwhelmed side. She's a real and genuine character, determined to do what's right despite the constant obstacles in her way. And even when it seems like too much, she manages to pull together and keep fighting. And, always keeps her sarcasm and wit about her! Her trusty love interest Logan, has to face a few new challenges in this novel, but he never loses his faith in Gwen. He's there for her, even when it means going against his family and the rest of the school. We got to see his warm, dashing side a lot in this novel and my, oh my, was it swoon-worthy. Daphne was her hiliarious, adorable and temperamental self and made me want to hug her through the whole book. Carson, her band geek boyfriend, was as endearing as always and the two together were just too cute for words. We get to meet a few new characters in this book, some of which I loved (Alexei) and others which I wanted to sock in the face (I will leave this blank to save from spoiling). All together, the characters in this book were just simply fantastic and made this book spectacular.

I always know to put aside a day for Mythos books because I cannot stop once I start. And Crimson Frost was no exception. That first chapter had my jaw dropping and I knew there was no way I was putting this down until I found out just what the heck was going on. The plot continued to twist and turn, shocking me, angering me (there was one particular scene in which I may have shouted some angry words at the book), make me laugh and even making me cry. It was a crazy thrill-ride and I seriously loved every bit of it.

If you haven't started the Mythos Academy series, you need to get on that. Like, right now. They are awesome, hug-worthy books that just keep getting better and better!

GIVEAWAY!
And now, for a giveaway! Jennifer Estep was kind enough to send me a bunch of Crimson Frost bookmarks to giveaway to you guys! They're pretty awesome. There should be more than one winner (if I did this whole Rafflecopter thing correctly) that will receive a couple bookmarks!

Rules are as followed:
- Must be 13 years or older
- Open to US/CANADA ONLY (sorry, international folks! I'm too broke for the shipping fees!)
- Contest runs from now until Dec. 31st!
- You DO NOT have to be a GFC follower to enter (you can get extra entries, but it's not required)
