This Week's Pick: Wayfarer (Tales of Beauty and Madness #2) by Lili St. Crow
Publisher: Razorbill
Release Date: March 6th, 2014
New York Times bestselling author Lili St. Crow thrilled legions of fans with her dark paranormal series Strange Angels. Now she has created a stirringly romantic, deliciously spooky update of Cinderella, the alluring second volume in her trilogy Tales of Beauty and Madness.
Ellie Sinder is a Charmer—the most powerful of her age that St. Juno’s Academy has ever seen. But Ellie’s stepmother, Laurissa, wields manipulation and abuse to force Ellie to work her spells ever more intensely, for Laurissa’s profit.
Then a train from over the Wastelands arrives in New Haven, bearing on it golden boy Avery Fletcher, newly returned from prep school, wearing a sweater Ellie’d love to bury her face in and a smile as bright as his blond hair. Avery’s arrival sets Laurissa off on a dark and dangerous scheme—and this time the soul up for grabs is Ellie’s.

I was lucky enough to receive an ARC of Nameless last year and my goodness, did I enjoy it! Lili St. Crow, once again, dazzled with a creative and wholly original world that had me fascinated. I am so excited to learn more about it and these awesome characters! Although it's more of a companion novel, I'm really hoping for a Cammie and Nico cameo!

This is absolutely a GREAT pick!! I have "Nameless" on my TBR, and now I'm adding this one! I didn't even know there was a sequel on the way. So I'm sure glad you featured this book!! Thanks for putting it on my radar!! : )
ReplyDeleteThis looks great! Hope you can stop by mine.
ReplyDeleteThis one sounds interesting. I like retellings of fairy tales, but I haven't had the chance to read Nameless yet. I hope you enjoy this one when you read it. Here is my WoW.
ReplyDeleteI love fairy tale re-tellings. This seems dark and pretty original take on Cinderella. Fantastic pick!
